At around 12:45 in the morning of August 08, the Indian wicket-keeper, Rishabh Pant, took everyone by shock as he made a tweet to the chief minister of Uttarakhand, Pushkar Singh Dhami, about buying land to shift his base from Delhi to Uttarakhand.
The tweet has shockingly come during the time when he had full focus on the warm-up clash against the Sri Lanka XI for the Indian side as they prepared themselves for the upcoming two-match Test series against the Asian side, which begins on August 15 in Galle.
What did Rishabh Pant tweet to the Uttarakhand CM?
Pant made the humble request to the Uttarakhand CM to help him regarding the land acquisition because it had been a nightmare for him to get clarity on the subject.
“@pushkardhami hello sir how’s you ??? It’s a long time for me especially being local from Uttrakhand . I have been trying to buy land to shift my base from Delhi to Uttrakhand and I couldn’t find anything facilitating and big to live here I love my Uttrakhand. My humble request to us is please help me in land acquisition cause nowadays it had become nitemare with clarity.” Pant wrote on his X account.
“I wanna move back to my native place to help and built around Uttrakhand and I want to shif back to my Pahadi people please look into this matter it’s been 3 years didn’t get any land awaiting your answer, sir.” The Indian wicket-keeper batter addressed.

He also claimed that he would want to buy the land from the government as he had been trying to buy his new house for the very first time in his own state.
“A gift would be lovey for representation out states at the highest level internationally stages but if you allow me I wanna buy it fromGovernment and on there rates at least I can have my first house built in my own state and our state please be helpful. Seriously didn’t know how to do it.” Pant penned down.
Rishabh Pant becomes Uttarakhand's highest taxpayer in 2025/26
India's Pant, who is renowned for his explosive batting performance and record-breaking feats, has added another milestone off the field. He has emerged as the state’s highest taxpayer for the 2025/26 financial year, paying the brilliant amount of INR 23.84 crore in taxes.
Pant, who represented the Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL 2026, was also the state’s highest taxpayer last year, having paid INR 10.5 crore. His hefty tax is attributed to the INR 27 crore deal he bagged during the IPL 2026.
