Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) will play against Royal Challengers Bengaluru(RCB) in the fifty-eighth match of IPL 2025 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. KKR won the title last season, while RCB finished fourth and lost in the Eliminator.
RCB won their first match of IPL 2025 against KKR. KKR scored 175 runs in the first innings, but RCB played brilliantly and they chased within 16 overs. Virat Kohli played well and did not get out with 59 runs, while Phil Salt also scored a fast 56. Krunal Pandya did a great job with the ball, taking 3 important wickets. In the end, RCB won the match easily by 7 wickets at Eden Gardens.
Swapnil Singh: He is a left-arm spinner who performed well last season, taking 6 wickets in 7 matches. He can also contribute with the bat lower down the order if needed, and he can bowl in the crucial overs.
Manoj Bhandage: He is an all-rounder who bats in the middle order and bowls leg-spin. He played in the last game against PBKS as an Impact Player but didn’t get a chance to bowl, and his batting didn’t make much of an impact either.
Swastik Chikara: He is a very impressive player in domestic cricket and a strong batter who has been in good form lately. He can step in if RCB lose early wickets or if there’s a need to replace a top-order batter.
Suyash Sharma: He is a smart leg-spinner who can be very useful if the pitch favors spinners and the middle overs. In the middle overs, he can control the runs with his smart bowling.

Rovman Powell: If Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) need a big hit in crucial situations, Rovman Powell could be the best option to score the big hits. Powell's massive batting helps the team with much-needed firepower in the middle or death overs.
Angkrish Raghuvanshi: One of the most promising young talents for KKR from the past few seasons, Angkrish Raghuvanshi has made the most of his opportunities in a good way. His composed and calm batting helps the KKR score consistent runs, making him a key part of the team’s future.
Manish Pandey: The experienced Karnataka batter might be used strategically to anchor the innings. His ability to build partnerships and take the game deep could be valuable, especially in high-pressure scenarios.
Chetan Sakariya: Chetan Sakariya has struggled a bit in the power play. This might be the right time for KKR to bring in a left-arm seamer to help in that area. He can seam with the new ball and gets wickets in crucial times.
