Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will square off against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in a key IPL 2025 Match 60 on May 10, 2025, at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, at 7:30 PM IST. SRH is already out of the playoff scenario, but KKR will be looking to try and secure a playoff spot out of the two teams.

The weather in Hyderabad on the 10th of May, 2025, shows that the day should be hazy with a temperature of 28-34°C and humidity of 50-60%. There is no rain forecasted, but dew could play a role in facilitating batting in the second innings. There will be good bounce on the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium pitch, which has benefited batsmen. Although pacers have taken more wickets at this venue than spinners, the same cannot be said for Varun Chakaravarthy, who can easily be economical. Given the anticipated dew, the captain that wins the toss may like to bat second on a track that is favorable for batting.
Sunrisers Hyderabad under Pat Cummins are out of the playoff race with only 3 wins from 11 games. SRH currently sits in eighth position. SRH batting has been inconsistent, although Travis Head and Heinrich Klaasen can hit the ball hard and do well at the top of the order. Last time against KKR, SRH lost by 80 runs. Harshal Patel and Mohammed Shami have been hailed as the top bowlers for SRH, although, given SRH's overall form, they do not appear the favorites as they are playing at home. The Kolkata Knight Riders, managed by Ajinkya Rahane, are at a tricky point in their season with 5 wins from 12 games, despite having only 2 wins in their last 5 matches, and want to add to their wins to help secure a playoff spot. Based on KKR's last game against SRH, their performance showed the influence Venkatesh Iyer has had for KKR when he scored 60 off 29 in the match. Varun Chakaravarthy, leading wicket-taker with 17 wickets thus far this season, gives them an upper hand. A win here would bring KKR closer to the playoffs.
