Chennai Super Kings (CSK) finally got out from losing an ally in the ongoing IPL 2025. They pushed Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) behind to reach the finish line first in Game 30 with the help of Shivam Dubey and MS Dhoni, who is currently the skipper of CSK after Ruturaj Gaikwad was out from the entire tournament due to injury.

With a new first XI combination, the multiple-time IPL winner side achieved their maiden victory of the season. Leaving all the criticism behind, Dhoni stood tall when the team needed him the most. Dhoni, along with Dube, safely landed their team at the touchline. The former Indian captain remained unbeaten for 26, and the young batter claimed 43*. CSK won by 5 wickets over LSG.

Suryakumar Yadav shared a special moment from the LSG vs. CSK match on his social media profile. Yadav showed on his post what MS told Dube in the middle of the mark. According to the post, Dhoni told Dube, "Try karna hay tho hum hi kar lete hai. Tum bas run out mat kar dena." (If you want to try, then I'll do this. Just don't make me run out).

CSK utilised Impact Player rule  effectively

CSK's impact player strategy successfully worked against LSG. Super Kings replaced Matheesha Pathirana with Shivam Dube as an impact player. Dube played his part in a most appropriate way.

LSG, batting first, put a total of 166 on the scoreboard. Chennai Super Kings chased the target from the beginning of the innings in a steady manner. In the end, Dube and Dhoni powered their team to a much-needed win.
