IPL 2025: Aniket Verma Impresses quick-fire knock 36 Off 13 Balls for SRH

Sunrisers Hyderabad’s young talent player, Aniket Verma, made a strong impact in the IPL 2025 match against Lucknow Super Giants in Hyderabad on Thursday. Batting at number six, he scored 36 runs off just 13 balls, clearing the fences five times without hitting a single four.

Aniket, who comes from Madhya Pradesh, was bought by SRH for INR 30 lakhs at the IPL auction. He doesn’t have much experience at the senior domestic level, having played just one T20 match in the 2024-25 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. However, he grabbed attention in the Madhya Pradesh Premier League, where he was the top run-scorer with 244 runs in five innings at an incredible strike rate of over 205.

Besides his power-hitting, Aniket is also a handy medium pacer. He has shown his ability in age-group cricket, including a century against Karnataka Under-23 in a men’s one-day tournament.
