IPL 2026: Josh Hazlewood removes Yashasvi Jaiswal in RR vs RCB clash
Josh Hazlewood dismisses Yashasvi Jaiswal in a key moment during RR vs RCB clash in IPL 2026.

In the 16th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, Rajasthan Royals (RR) lost Yashasvi Jaiswal early against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on April 10 in Guwahati. Jaiswal, known for his attacking batting in the tournament, was dismissed by Josh Hazlewood, who made his first appearance of the tournament today. He was recovering from an injury and entered the IPL 2026 late.
RCB will be happy with his bowling performance as he dismissed Jaiswal in his first over. The match between the Royals started with Riyan Parag winning the toss and choosing to bowl first. The captains have followed the template of electing to bowl in every game, as chasing has been easier. Meanwhile, RCB scored 201 in the first innings despite losing early wickets.

Josh Hazlewood dismisses Yashasvi Jaiswal in IPL 2026
RCB's Josh Hazlewood would be quite happy to dismiss Yashasvi Jaiswal in his first game since the batter is an Orange Cap holder and is in incredible form. He slammed a half-century in the previous game and helped RR win the match. Hence, Hazlewood would be happy with his bowling. Moreover, Jaiswal hit two sixes in the same over, so it was more of a revenge from the bowler to remove him.
Jaiswal was playing on 13 runs when Hazlewood bowled a short of a length outside off, a cross-seam delivery, and Yashasvi Jaiswal looked to cut it away, but the ball went to the wicketkeeper, and he dived to his left to take the catch comfortably. Jaiswal looked quite upset since he knew that the pitch was a good one to bat on. After his wicket, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi played another incredible knock, scoring 78 off 26 balls.
Brief Scores (at the time of writing)- RR 129/3 (Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Krunal Pandya 2/14) vs RCB
