IPL 2026, Match 23 - RCB vs LSG: Toss Update and Playing XI

M Chinnaswamy Stadium (Bengaluru) is hosting the 23rd match of the IPL 2026, which has been scheduled between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Lucknow Super Giants (RCB vs LSG) on Wednesday night (April 15). Both teams are playing their fifth game of the season, while the venue is hosting its third game of the tournament. 

The defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru have got a strong start this season, as they have won three games and lost once in their first four games of the season. Starting the season with a strong win against SunRisers Hyderabad (by 6 wickets) at home in the tournament opener, RCB then thrashed Chennai Super Kings (by 43 runs) before losing against the hosts Rajasthan Royals (by 6 wickets) in Guwahati. In their last game, RCB defeated Mumbai Indians by 18 runs.

On the other hand, Lucknow Super Giants have earned four points this season with two wins and two losses. After losing their season opener against Delhi Capitals by six wickets, LSG beat SunRisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders by five wickets and three wickets, respectively, while both were last-over thrillers. In their last game, LSG suffered a seven-wicket defeat against Gujarat Titans.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru captain Rajat Patidar won the toss and chose to field first. Meanwhile, the Lucknow Super Giants skipper Rishabh Pant is confident with the bat first on the night.
