IPL 2026, Match 25 - GT vs KKR: Toss Update and Playing XI

In the 25th game of the IPL 2026, the Gujarat Titans vs Kolkata Knight Riders (GT vs KKR) match has been scheduled for Friday night (April 17). Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad is hosting this fixture, which is the second game at this venue in the ongoing season. Titans are playing their fifth game, and Knight Riders are playing their sixth game of the season.

The IPL 2022 champions Gujarat Titans are in sixth position in the IPL 2026 points table with four points after four games, recording two wins and two losses. After losing their first two games of the season, against Punjab Kings and Rajasthan Royals, Titans claimed victories in their last two fixtures, against Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants. 

Meanwhile, the three-time IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders are now the only team in the IPL 2026 who are still winless. In their first five matches of the season, KKR lost four games and had no result in one game against Punjab Kings.

Kolkata Knight Riders captain Ajinkya Rahane won the toss and chose to bat first. Meanwhile, Gujarat Titans skipper Shubman Gill clarified that he would anyway choose to bowl first, so he is happy even losing the toss.
