It is the 31st match of the IPL 2026 between SunRisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals (SRH vs DC). Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium (Uppal, Hyderabad) is hosting this fixture on Tuesday night (April 21). It is the fourth game at this venue in this IPL season, while SRH are playing their seventh match and DC are playing their sixth game of the season. 

The fourth-placed SunRisers Hyderabad have six points after six games, with three wins and three losses. Starting the season with a defeat against the defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru, the IPL 2016 champions claimed a win in their second game against the hosts Kolkata Knight Riders. After two back-to-back defeats against Lucknow Super Giants and Punjab Kings, SRH claimed victories in their last two fixtures against Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings. 

The fifth-placed Delhi Capitals have six points after five matches, recording three wins and two losses. Starting the season with wins against Lucknow Super Giants and Mumbai Indians, DC lost against Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings, before beating the defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their last game.

Delhi Capitals captain Axar Patel chose to field first after winning the toss. In the meantime, SunRisers Hyderabad stand-in skipper Ishan Kishan is happy to bat first, while he has little different feeling on the pitch, as he feels it is a different kind of home wicket for them.
