IPL 2026: Mukul Choudhary brings up fifty in style with a towering six against KKR
Mukul Choudhary reaches his half-century in style, smashing a six against KKR in IPL 2026 to cap off a fluent and impactful innings.

How often do we get to see a newcomer smashing sixes and boundaries in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match? In the 15th game of the league, Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) middle-order batter Mukul Choudhary, who made his debut this season, slammed a scintillating half-century against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and finished off the match in style.
He hit a helicopter shot, the one which MS Dhoni is renowned for, and nailed it completely. Interestingly, the young batter has hardly played any matches but was successful enough to score 14 runs in the last over against Vaibhav Arora, who was the best bowler for KKR in today's game. However, the six that he hit in the 19.4 overs will remain the highlight of the match.

Mukul Choudhary hit six off Vaibhav Arora in the 19th over
Hitting a six to bring up his half-century is surely something Mukul Choudhary would have learned from his senior players. The 21-year-old cricketer stunned the cricket world today with his brilliant batting display against KKR. He was surely the hero of today's match. When LSG had to chase 14 runs in the last over, Avesh Khan was at the crease.
However, he took a run comfortably on the first ball and handed over the strike to Mukul, who was the in-form batter. He stuck to his basics and played every ball beautifully. But, in the 19.4 overs, he hit a six off Vaibhav, which turned the match in their favour. With that six, he completed his maiden half-century in the tournament.
LSG won their second game of the season, while KKR are yet to open their winning account. It was a game which was well within their reach. However, Mukul's wonderful innings took the game away from them.
