Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Punjab Kings with a 33-run margin in IPL 2026 at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, Hyderabad. SRH put up 235/4 in 20 overs after batting first. Abhishek Sharma provided a blazing start with 35 off 13 balls, while Travis Head scored 38 off 19 balls. Ishan Kishan played a very good knock of 55 off 32 balls, while Heinrich Klaasen scored 69 off 43 balls. Nitish Kumar Reddy also finished strongly with 29* off 13 balls.
Punjab Kings had a bad start while chasing 236. Pat Cummins got Priyansh Arya out early, and Prabhsimran Singh also went back quickly. PBKS kept losing wickets and could not make any partnerships. Their top three batters, Shreyas Iyer, Marcus Stoinis, and Suryansh Shedge, didn’t contribute much in scoring runs. Although Cooper Connolly tried hard to play an aggressive inning and remained unbeaten on 107* but he did not get enough support from the other batters.
