IPL 2026: Rajasthan Royals to host ‘Pink Promise’ match on May 9 vs Gujarat Titans

Rajasthan Royals will maintain their ongoing “Pink Promise” program during their IPL 2026 match against Gujarat Titans. The Royals will showcase their dedication to women-led social change in Rajasthan by wearing their traditional all-pink uniforms during the event.

The Royal Rajasthan Foundation (RRF) leads this initiative which has developed into the most impactful social campaign that connects with IPL games throughout recent times. The Rajasthan Royals use cricket to develop permanent benefits for rural areas through their programs which empower women and support sustainable development initiatives.

Rajasthan Royals continue tradition with special Pink Promise game in IPL 2026

The Pink Promise match has now entered its third season and continues to grow in scale and significance. The Rajasthan Royals launched their first social responsibility program which combined cricket with community service by using IPL matches to provide support for women throughout Rajasthan.

The special jersey for this season tells its own distinctive story. The jersey design which won the competition through the Royals HunaRR Manch contest received 8500 submissions from students throughout India. The winning design was created by 19-year-old Samiksha Rameshwar Mundada from Nashik.

The all-pink jersey includes solar-inspired patterns and the names of women supported by the Royal Rajasthan Foundation. The design reflects the campaign's core message which states that "Aurat Hai Toh Bharat Hai."

Rajasthan Royals announced that all six hits during the RR vs GT clash will power six homes throughout Rajasthan with solar energy. The initiative aims to support women-led electrification projects in underserved communities.

Significance of Pink Promise campaign and its impact over the years

The Pink Promise initiative has already provided electricity for multiple homes in Rajasthan through its solar energy projects during the two IPL seasons. The franchise reported that the campaign successfully provided electricity to 260 homes during 2024 and expanded its reach to over 520 homes during 2025. 

Women from the Sambhar region have played a major role in this transformation after receiving technical training through Royal Rajasthan Foundation programmes. Women participate in all aspects of solar infrastructure work which includes installation maintenance and sustainability. Rajasthan Royals confirmed their commitment to support woman-led rural development projects through their ongoing ticket sales and special pink jersey sales. 

The match between Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans has extra significance because both teams need to win in order to improve their standings in the IPL 2026 points system. The Rajasthan Royals have a narrow advantage over Gujarat Titans because their net run rate is superior to that of their opponent.
