IPL 2026 to be postponed due to this shocking reason as report drops bombshell
The 2026 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is expected to be postponed due to the shocking reason as the recent report has dropped the bombshell. Many international players are in fear of not reaching India.

Amid the concerns over a shortage of LPG cylinders, the problem has reached the Indian Premier League (IPL) as the chairman of the tournament, Arun Dhumal, reckoned that the league has been monitoring the potential challengers in the hospitality and travel logistics ahead of the 2026 season of the event. No formal concerns have been raised.
The IPL 2026, which was initially scheduled to begin on March 26, will now begin on March 28, with the schedule of the first 20 games expected on March 12. The ten-team competition will now host the top international players, coaches, and broadcasters, as they make travel and hospitality logistics crucial to the smooth operations. Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), under Rajat Patidar, is the defending champions.

“Definitely, it’s a challenge. But we haven’t received anything from hotels so far. If there is an issue and they inform us, then we will review it accordingly. If we had made bookings and there were concerns, they would have told us.” Dhumal has revealed in the statement.

Apart from the LPG concerns, the travel logistics also remain under scrutiny after the recent disruptions caused by the geopolitical tensions. The teams, such as West Indies and South Africa, have faced delays in returning home as the flight routes were affected by the conflict.
“But they have to come back to us if this becomes a problem. Right now, we are only hearing about it through the media, but we are reviewing the situation and will take a call if required.” Arun Dhumal added in the same interaction that they acknowledged that the situation could now create several challenges, but the IPL has not received any official complaints.
However, New Zealand’s airspaces, along with Australia, remain unaffected as the uncertainty remains over all the overseas players, coaches, and broadcasters from the West Indies, South Africa, and England, for their smooth travel to India for the 2026 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Dhumal has been constantly monitoring the situation regarding travel arrangements for the foreign players.
