Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) are facing each other in the 32nd game of the IPL 2026 at Lucknow on Wednesday night (April 22). Just like other matches, the first status of the match is the toss report and the playing XI. There is a big question in the struggling LSG squad, and one of these is whether the right-arm fast bowler Mayank Yadav is playing or not.

It is a crucial fixture for the ninth-placed Lucknow Super Giants and the fourth-placed Rajasthan Royals. After playing six games each, while LSG have four points with two wins, RR have eight points after four victories. However, both teams are struggling at the moment, as LSG lost their last three games, and RR suffered defeats in their last two fixtures.
Mayank Yadav IPL career
It is Mayank Yadav's seventh IPL match, as the right-arm fast bowler has taken nine IPL wickets. He has the ability to deliver the ball at a furious pace consistently, breaking the barrier of 150 kmph. After the IPL 2025, he missed the game mostly due to a recurring severe lower back stress fracture.
Before his first match in the IPL 2026, Mayank played only two matches after the IPL 2025, both for India A, during the pre-tournament warm-up games ahead of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026. He has already made his international cricket debut, as he played three T20Is in October 2024, where he picked up four wickets.
