In the nine-over rain-curtailed clash between India and West Indies at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, with the series being poised at 2-2, both teams needed to show aggression with the bat, and Ishan Kishan made his intentions clear by smashing a massive six out of the ground.
The West Indies captain, Shai Hope, won the toss and had no hesitation in opting to bowl first on a ground which is short and would always welcome chasing. Moreover, the DLS method would make it easier for the team in the second innings with the bat.

The third over of the innings began with a boundary from Kishan’s bat as India raced away to 42 runs within 2.1 overs with the dismissal of Abhishek Sharma, who also smashed a huge six but gave an easy catch to the fielder inside the 30-yard circle.
Sanju Samson took the onus on his shoulders. On the fifth delivery, he smashed the short ball over the extra cover for a rollicking boundary. The over finished when he hopped a touch in the crease and carved it over the deep backward point region for a well-connected six as India reached their fastest 50 in the T20Is off just 2.5 overs.
