The Indian wicket-keeper batter, Ishan Kishan, has light-heartedly acknowledged the viral slogan ‘ek kachori do samosa’ ahead of the second T20I of the five-match series against West Indies on October 11 at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi. The moment went viral on social media platforms.
Kishan has been in superb form recently in the shortest format of the game. In the first T20I of the ongoing series, the left-handed batter smacked a fine knock of unbeaten 37 runs to see them win the contest by eight wickets, with Shreyas Iyer celebrating a fine century.

Ahead of the second game of the series, Kishan reacted to the slogan where he installed his own line and claimed it as ‘ek kachori do samosa, Ishan par hai poora bharosa’. That shows the incredible self-confidence of the batter, who has done a tremendous job in recent times for the blue brigade.

The original slogan- ‘ek kachori, do samosa, in mardon ka kya bharossa ’-went viral on social media platforms like Instagram and Twitter, following a women’s safety demonstration. The cricket fans, however, have twisted it into a humorous chant to back the Indian batter.
Kishan reacted positively to the post, interacting with it online to signal his agreement and the appreciation for the fan’s quirky show of support. The game, being played at the home venue of Kishan, will see him getting massive support from the home fans.
Ishan Kishan gears up for the 2nd T20I vs West Indies in Ranchi
In the opening T20I of the series, the home bowlers bowled superbly to bundle out the West Indies for just 171 runs in 19.1 overs. Their captain, Shreyas Iyer, remained unbeaten on 102 runs off just 43 balls at a strike rate of 237.21, with the help of 10 boundaries and six sixes to complete the chase by eight wickets with 32 balls to spare.
Kishan has been superb in his recent form. During the Asian Games 2026 semifinal against Sri Lanka, the southpaw smashed an unbeaten knock of 80 runs on a surface which was incredibly hard for the batters against the spinners.

India will hope to continue the same brutal performance from the previous evening and take a fine lead of 2-0 ahead of the third encounter.
