Former Indian captain Virat Kohli slammed another ODI century, as he set a great batting exhibition at Raipur to put the hosts India on a big total platform against the fighting South Africa. 

Trailing the three-match ODI series by 1-0, visitors South Africa chose to field first in the second ODI at Raipur, as India recorded 20 consecutive ODI toss losses. 

From 62/2, Indian batters Virat Kohli and Ruturaj Gaikwad completely dominated with a 195-run partnership for the third wicket. While it was India's highest ODI partnership for any wicket, Kohli and Ruturaj both completed their memorable centuries.

Virat Kohli recorded his 53rd ODI century

The most ODI century record-holder Virat Kohli stretched his record with his 53rd ODI century on Wednesday (December 3), where he showcased his fitness and game awareness quality once again. Not only scoring boundaries, but he also kept the scoreboard busy with consistent ones and twos. 

After recording a 102-ball century in the previous ODI, Kohli now recorded a 90-ball hundred. The 53rd ODI century was also Kohli's 84th international hundred, as he recorded his 10th consecutive ODI century. It was the third straight ODI innings for Kohli with 50+ scores, as he is just confirming that the legend is ready for the next ODI World Cup.  

While Ruturaj was out for 105 off 83 balls, Kohli was dismissed after scoring 102 off 93 balls with seven fours and two sixes.
