Kuldeep hasn’t experienced a great season in the T20 franchise tournament with the ball.

Delhi is currently in eighth position on the points table. They have earned six victories in 13 clashes at a net run rate of -0.871. Their last game of the league stage will be against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on May 24 at the Eden Gardens, where they will need to beat the home side and expect a few results to go their way.

Kuldeep was also seen to be changing the field placement. It’s not clear if there was any particular reason for the Indian star featuring in the clash. His last game for the Capitals of this IPL edition was on May 08 where he was smashed for 0/41 against the Knight Riders.

In the ongoing season, he has picked up only seven wickets in 10 innings at an average of more than 50 and a strike rate of 28.2 with an expensive economy rate of around 11, with the best figures of 2/31 in an innings.

This is his worst season of the IPL after 2020/21, when he picked up one wicket for KKR in four innings. Now, the question stands where the DC side would release him before the next season in 2027.
