Kuldeep Yadav to marry childhood friend in March after T20 World Cup 2026 win
India spinner Kuldeep Yadav is set to marry his childhood friend Vanshika in March following India’s T20 World Cup 2026 triumph.

India spinner Kuldeep Yadav is all set to begin a new chapter in his personal life. The left-arm wrist spinner will marry his childhood friend Vanshika on March 14. The wedding ceremony will take place at a resort in Mussoorie. A grand reception is also planned in Lucknow on March 17.
Kuldeep and Vanshika both belong to Kanpur and have known each other since childhood. Their homes were located just around three kilometres apart while growing up. The couple got engaged last year in a private ceremony at a hotel in Lucknow. Vanshika currently works as an employee with LIC.
Reports suggest that the wedding was originally planned for November 2025. However, Kuldeep decided to postpone the ceremony so that he could fully focus on India’s campaign in the T20 World Cup 2026. The Indian team eventually went on to win the tournament. Kuldeep also played one match during the competition.
Wedding Celebrations and Kuldeep’s Reaction to India’s Victory
Kuldeep’s wedding celebrations are expected to begin on March 13 with traditional haldi and mehendi ceremonies. These events will also take place at the Mussoorie resort before the main wedding function. His long-time coach Kapil Dev Pandey confirmed the details of the ceremonies. Several BCCI officials and cricketers are expected to attend the celebrations.

Kuldeep’s father, Ram Singh Yadav, recently visited Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. During the meeting, he personally invited the chief minister to attend the wedding ceremony. The event is likely to be attended by several well-known personalities from the cricketing world.
Meanwhile, Kuldeep shared his thoughts after India’s T20 World Cup 2026 victory over New Zealand. "It was an important victory. The tournament for us went very well, and we were preparing for this for a very long time. This is what you play cricket for. Every time you participate in an ICC tournament, you want to win the trophy. I congratulate the team and also thank the fans for supporting us. I am very happy for Sanju Samson, who performed very well. I have shared my cricketing journey with him since the Under-12s, and I am very happy to see him get the rewards of his hard work over the years."
