It was an emotional moment for all the players and Indian cricket fans when the cricketers assembled in Delhi before leaving India for the upcoming India vs Australia white-ball series starting on October 19. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli also joined the team for the series.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has shared a specially edited video compiling the moments of emotions when all the players across the country traveled to Delhi to link up with the main team. In the beginning of the video we can see the former captain of team India greeting the new captain of team India. Former captain Rohit Sharma hugged skipper Shubman Gill and asked, 'Kya hal hay bhai?' (How are you, brother?) The craze around Virat and Rohit was unmatchable.

Before boarding the team bus, Virat gave some autographs also. After the Champions Trophy 2025 triumph, it was the first time when Virat and Rohit were together again in the Team India bus. Shreyas Iyer and Virat Kohli were in the front row of the bus, sitting side by side. BCCI appointed Iyer as the vice-captain of Team India's ODI team to assist captain Gill.
