During the third Test of the three-match series between South Africa and Australia at Newlands in Cape Town, Matthew Breetzke’s epic jumping celebration after the wicket of Marnus Labuschagne towards the end of the first session of the second day’s play went viral on social media platforms.

The two teams came to Newlands with the series being poised at the 1-1 margin. The winner of the game will not only win the series but also get the top rankings of the ICC Test sides. The Temba Bavuma-led side made a solid comeback during the second encounter at George’s Park in Gqeberha.

It was the final delivery of the 18th over of the innings from Simon Harmer. The off-spinner looped it up outside the off stump against Marnus Labuschagne, who couldn’t open his account in the previous four balls of the over and looked a bit frustrated as he found the fielders on all occasions.

On the final delivery, he stood in the vulnerable zone and played a nothing shot. The outside edge, coming off the hard hands of his bat, ended up in the hands of the only slip, Aiden Markram, who grabbed a fine catch as the ball came rapidly to him to send back the batter for a five-ball duck.

Harmer also drew the first blood with the wicket of Travis Head for 41 runs. The left-handed batter went hard for the cut shot against the short ball and was played on.

Green made 65 runs off 110 balls, shouldering on eight boundaries and a pair of sixes. But they lost both their in-form batters at the stroke of the tea break. However, Alex Carey and Josh Inglis, both of whom celebrated their respective fifties, ended the day with an unbeaten stand of 145 runs, claiming a one-run lead.
