The second T20I of the five-match series between India and the West Indies is being played in Ranchi. India delivered a strong batting performance, scoring 249/5 in the first innings. Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan and Tilak Varma played key roles in helping the hosts post a huge total. While defending the target, young fast bowler Mayank Yadav gave India an early breakthrough.

The Indian pacer bowled a stunning 144 kmph delivery to dismiss Shimron Hetmyer for a golden duck. The West Indies batter had little time to react as the fast bowler’s pace and accuracy beat him. The dismissal highlighted Mayank’s ability to trouble batters with his raw pace and put the West Indies under pressure early in the chase.

Mayank’s fiery delivery has caught the attention of cricket fans, and the video of Hetmyer’s dismissal is going viral on social media. The young pacer made an immediate impact with the ball after India posted a massive total of 249/5.

Mayank Yadav’s 144 kmph delivery to Hetmyer: What happened in IND vs WI 2nd T20I

Mayank Yadav made an immediate impact with the new ball in the second T20I between India and the West Indies. After the visitors got off to a quick start, the young pacer struck twice in the first over to put them under pressure. He first dismissed Kamil Pooran with a delivery clocked at 143 kmph. Pooran tried to play a pull shot but was beaten by the pace and hit the ball high into the air. Substitute fielder Ravi Bishnoi took a good catch at square leg to send him back for four runs off two balls.

Mayank then dismissed Shimron Hetmyer on the very next delivery with a stunning 144 kmph ball. The short-of-a-length delivery moved back in sharply, leaving Hetmyer with little time to bring his bat down. The West Indies batter got an inside edge, and the ball crashed into the top of the middle stump. Hetmyer was dismissed for a golden duck, giving Mayank his second wicket in consecutive deliveries.

With two wickets in the first over, Mayank reduced the West Indies to 5/2 during their chase of India’s massive total. His pace and accuracy troubled the batters, and he came close to taking a hat-trick but missed the chance. The double strike gave India an early advantage and made Mayank’s fiery opening over one of the key moments of the match.

How Mayank Yadav beat Hetmyer: Speed, line and length of the Golden Duck ball

Mayank Yadav dismissed Shimron Hetmyer with a short-of-a-length delivery that clocked 144 kmph and moved sharply back into the batter. The left-hander tried to bring his bat down to defend the ball but managed only an inside edge onto the top of the middle stump. The ball crashed into the stumps, sending Hetmyer back to the pavilion without scoring.

Facing Mayank’s express pace with his very first delivery made things difficult for Hetmyer. The sharp inward movement gave the West Indies batter very little time to adjust his shot. Mayank combined his speed with good line and length, leaving Hetmyer with almost no chance to defend the delivery successfully.

The wicket highlighted Mayank’s ability to trouble batters with both pace and movement. His 144 kmph delivery proved difficult to handle and helped India put early pressure on the West Indies during the chase. After struggling in the first match, Mayank made a strong comeback in Ranchi by taking two wickets in the first over, showing how dangerous he can be when he finds his rhythm.

What Hetmyer’s early wicket means for West Indies and India’s pace attack

Mayank Yadav’s early dismissal of Shimron Hetmyer gave India a strong start with the ball in the second T20I against the West Indies. The young fast bowler took two wickets in the first over, putting the visitors under pressure while chasing India’s massive total of 249/5. His pace and accuracy showed how effective India’s fast-bowling attack could be in the match.

However, the West Indies batters responded with an impressive display of power-hitting. Captain Shai Hope led the chase alongside Sherfane Rutherford, as the visitors attacked the Indian bowlers and kept the required run rate under control. Romario Shepherd and Rovman Powell also made valuable contributions to help the team maintain its momentum.

Despite Mayank’s early breakthroughs, India could not stop the West Indies from completing a record chase. The visitors chased down the target in style to level the five-match T20I series 1-1. The result showed that early wickets alone were not enough to defend a big total, as India’s pace attack struggled to contain the West Indies’ aggressive batting throughout the chase.
