In Match 15 of the 2025 Major League Cricket (MLC) season, the Texas Super Kings turned on the style, defeating the Los Angeles Knight Riders by 52 runs at Grand Prairie Stadium, Texas. Batting first, Texas scored a big 196/8 in 20 overs, led by in-form Shubham Ranjane, who slammed 70 off 45 balls. He got valuable support from Donovan Ferreira (43 off 21) and Smit Patel (38 off 33). Andre Russell stood out with the ball for LKR, picking up 3/37, while Shadley van Schalkwyk claimed 3/51.

In response, the Knight Riders faltered under scoreboard pressure.
Unmukt Chand was the top scorer with 30 (30), followed by Jason Holder (26 off 17) and Rovman Powell (21 off 15). But it was never enough, as Texas’ disciplined bowling attack controlled the innings. Akeal Hosein returned excellent figures of 2/10 in 3 overs, Noor Ahmad picked up 2/27, and Donovan Ferreira chipped in with 1/5 to restrict LKR to 144/7.

After this win, the Texas Super Kings moved to second place on the points table with 8 points.
