England executed their plan properly, outclassed India in Headingley, and took a 1-0 lead in the ongoing 5-match Test series. The next match of the series is set to start on July 2 at Edgbaston. With 5 centuries and a comfortable lead, the way Team India lost the grip on the match, BCCI should use their scanner again to magnify the errors.

In both innings, India's lower middle and lower order collapsed within a very short time span. For which the team got less run than the projections. Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill, and Yashasvi Jaiswal's centuries decently brought some positivity into the camp, but those were not enough for a win. Before the next match, the board can think to make some changes in the first XI.

When England was on the hunt to bring down 350, Indian bowlers underperformed. A few cricket fans heavily criticized Mohammed Siraj for remaining wicket-less in the second innings, though in the first innings, he claimed a brace. Depending on the stats, should BCCI scrap Siraj from the playing XI?

Should BCCI remove Siraj from playing XI?

The right-arm fast bowler can feel himself unlucky on multiple occasions. He came very close on numerous occasions to grabbing at least one wicket but couldn't succeed. Yashasvi Jaiswal missed a catch in a crucial moment. The right-handed bowler was able to get the movements in both directions and got thick edges multiple times, but either the ball missed the stumps or found gaps between the fielders. He even tricked Ben Duckett, who played a match-winning 149-run knock, multiple times.

During the initial 1 or 2 days, the surface looked batting-friendly in Leeds, which can be different in other grounds. In a more bowler-friendly condition, Siraj can better his bowling numbers.
