Satara Warriors secured a thrilling 7-run victory over Kolhapur Tuskers in a closely contested match.

In Match 10 of the 2025 Maharashtra Premier League (MPL) at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune, Satara Warriors (STW) defeated Kolhapur Tuskers (KT) by 7 runs. STW won the toss and elected to bat first, putting up a respectable total. STW's batters put up a balanced total, with the bowlers defending their wicket effectively to stop KT's pursuit. This and their effort secured STW a worthy victory.
Satara Warriors (STW) Innings
Batting first, Satara Warriors scored an impressive 177/6 in their twenty overs. Captain Saurabh Nawale put up an even 72 runs from 47 balls, while Om Bhosale contributed a fast 57 runs off 37 balls. between these two, they created the solid foundation on which STW built their innings. STW took the appropriate risks in permitting the Tuskers to chase down a respectable total, as Shamshuzama contributed a quick 24. The Tuskers were spoiled for choice with bowlers to provide satisfactory output in defending, with Atharva Dakway (2/29) and Deepak Natraj Dangi (1/19) being the best bowlers.
Kolhapur Tuskers (KT) Innings
Chasing down 178 to win, Kolhapur Tuskers could only reach 170/7 in their 20 overs, with Shrikant Mundhe the top scorer with 64 off 41 balls, but he was not supported well, as Siddharth Mhatre could scrounge up only 28 runs off 23 balls. The bowlers from STW maintained the pressure, led by Shubham Maid, who led the way with a terrific 3/26 from 4 overs, backed up by Vivek Shelar (2/31) and Vaibhav Dhurkunde (1/29). Although KT did have a slight resurgence in their late innings with Aniket Thenge scoring 14 not out, they could still manage to score only 104 runs, finishing 7 runs short and giving STW a wonderful victory.
