Ratnagiri Jets vs Puneri Bappa

In Match 24 of the 2025 Maharashtra Premier League (MPL), Puneri Bappa won against the Ratnagiri Jets by 5 wickets, having used the DLS method, at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune. After the rain interrupted while the Jets were batting, Puneri Bappa decided to bowl first. Following a disciplined bowling display, Puneri Bappa chased down the reduced target without difficulty and registered an important win.

Ratnagiri Jets Innings

Batting first, Ratnagiri Jets scored 154/9 in 20 overs. The initiative was taken by Divyang Hinganekar with a smooth 43 off 33 balls, while Kiran Chormale added a useful 37 off 23 balls. Although they kept losing wickets at regular intervals, the Jets found it difficult to hold on. Puneri Bappa's star performer with the ball was Sachin Bhosale, who took 4 wickets for 38 runs. He was ably supported by Sohan Jamale (1/17) and Nikit Dhumal (1/30), as PB was able to limit the Jets from posting a greater total.

Puneri Bappa Innings

Pursuing a DLS-set target, Puneri Bappa reached 132/5 in 15.5 overs. Yash Nahar led the chase with an unbeaten 59 from 43 deliveries, supported by skipper Yash Kshirsagar's scorching 31 from 18 deliveries. There was also a handy 20 from Rushikesh Sonavne. While Divyang Hinganekar (2/26) attempted to check the run flow, PB's top order saw to a steady march towards the target. The computed pursuit assisted them in gaining two important points and keeping their hopes alive for the playoffs.
