MS Dhoni's old tweet resurfaces as Argentina set up FIFA World Cup 2026 Final vs Spain

The old tweet of the former Indian captain, MS Dhoni, went viral on social media platforms after Argentina defeated England by a margin of 2-1 and knocked themselves out of the FIFA World Cup 2026 and made it to the final of the competition. Argentina was behind in the clash before getting the lead and earning the victory at the last moment. 

The final of the FIFA World Cup 2026 between Argentina and Spain will be on July 19 in India, as the game will take place at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, in the United States on July 20.

Since Argentina’s superb victory over England, an Instagram post from MS Dhoni went viral. It was from the 2016 tour for the Indian side in Zimbabwe, where Dhoni has been seen playing PlayStation alongside Mandeep Singh, Jaydev Unadkat, Axar Patel, and Karun Nair. The picture was posted on June 16, 2016.

As captain, Dhoni had written ‘Spain vs Argentina’. He was the leader of the blue brigade at that time, with Axar being the most experienced player alongside Dhoni in the shortest format in the picture.

The spin bowling all-rounder made his debut in 2014. Dhoni, meanwhile, is currently in England and has been seen attending the ODI games of the current England series. He was spotted during the third T20I for India at Trent Bridge in Nottingham along with the first ODI at Edgbaston in Birmingham.
