Aman Rao scored 200 not out off 154 balls

Hyderabad openers Aman Rao and Rahul Singh had a 104-run partnership, where Rahul scored 65 off 54 balls with seven fours and three sixes. Meanwhile, the 21-year-old Aman scored his maiden List A fifty before stretching that to a memorable knock.

Aman completed his century in 107 balls, which he completed in the 38th over. While the right-handed opening batter completed 150 runs off 134 balls, he reached the double-hundred mark on the last ball of the innings, remaining not out for 200 off 154 balls with 12 fours and 13 sixes.

In the last three balls of the innings, Aman slammed an overboundary before taking a double and ending with another sixer to reach the 200-run mark. It was the ninth double century in the Vijay Hazare Trophy history and the second one in the ongoing season, while Swastik Samal from Odisha scored 212 off 169 balls against Saurashtra on December 24, 2025.

Rajasthan Royals bought Aman Rao from IPL 2026 auction

Captain Tilak Varma scored 34 off 45 balls, while Pragnay Reddy scored 22 runs, as Hyderabad managed to score 350+ total. In the slog over, Aman took the major charge, as experienced Bengal bowlers seemed helpless. Aman is yet to make his IPL debut, as Rajasthan Royals bought him from the latest auction for INR 30 lakhs, and the youngster has already proved himself with his latest batting performance.

Once again, Mohammed Shami proved his form even in this tough time as he was the standout bowler from Bengal, finishing with the bowling figures of 10-1-70-3.
