Since Rilee Rossouw has made a massive moment of the Indian Premier League (IPL) being a massive movie and the Pakistan Super League (PSL) being the real cricket, there has been a huge debate about the quality and performance of the two tournaments. However, statistically, the IPL outperforms the PSL in terms of its financial structure.

The IPL 2026 started a few weeks ago with the Riyan Parag-led Rajasthan Royals sitting at the top of the points table with four victories in five clashes, as they recently faced a defeat against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Meanwhile, in the PSL 2026, the Peshawar Zalmi are at the top with five victories in six encounters.

“Kusal Mendis is playing, performing in PSL, and he is being asked questions like 'Sir, last time you left and went to IPL, what do you think about that?' And now Pakistan Super League (is) giving you respect again, and they (Gujarat Titans) did not pick you again. So, do you have any regret about withdrawing from the Pakistan Super League the previous year?Mendis was asked.

“The IPL obviously has the whole Bollywood behind it, so it's a lot more of a movie than actual cricket. So both of them have their pros and cons.Rossouw commented.
