“Not choreographer…”- Mary D’Costa clarifies after Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal wedding controversy
Mary D'Costa has dropped a massive clarification on her Instagram account in the social media after Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal's weeding was postponed and has taken a new route to controversy.
The latest buzz on the internet has been around the speculations of the wedding between star Indian cricketer, Smriti Mandhana, and the famous Bollywood singer and composer, Palash Muchhal, which has been put on hold. One of the reasons behind the postponed wedding has been regarding Mary D’Costa, as several screenshots of Palash and D’Costa went viral on social media platforms.
Now, D’Costa has taken to Instagram to clarify that the viral chats and whatever was said between her and Palash were not true, as he never met the individual, and the contact lasted for only a month. She also denied the reports claiming that she was a choreographer. Currently, the weeding of the Indian cricketer and the Bollywood singer has been postponed.
“First, the exchange of chats happened between April 29th and May 30th, 2025, so the contact lasted for only one month. I want to make it absolutely clear that I never met him and I never got involved with him in any way. People have been asking, "Why speak about this now?" The truth is, I actually exposed him back in July, but no one really knew who he was at that time, so it went unnoticed.” D’Costa wrote in a note shared on her Instagram.

D’Costa also shared the screenshots of her alleged chats with Palash on Reddi, where the account has already been deactivated, but the screenshots made their way around the social media platforms.
“There's also been a lot of confusion about who I am. I want to clarify, I am not the choreographer, and I am not the person he cheated with. I'm saying this because things are getting mixed up, and I don't want people assuming the wrong things. I want to clarify, I am not the choreographer, and I am not the person he cheated with.” D’Costa added.
Smriti and Palash were due to tie the knot on November 23, but the wedding was postponed due to Smriti’s father being hospitalized due to a heart-related health scare. Mandhana, later on, deleted all wedding-related posts from her Instagram account, which raised massive speculations.
