New Zealand Women will face South Africa Women at Basin Reserve, Wellington on April 4 for the 3rd ODI of the series. The series is currently tied 1-1, making this final match very important for both teams. New Zealand Women will look to use their home advantage, while South Africa Women will aim to bounce back and win the series.

New Zealand Women after winning the second ODI with an exciting two-wicket victory, the Kiwis are still alive in this series. They were chasing a huge target of 347 runs and had lost four wickets for 130 runs. Then under the expert lead of captain Amelia Kerr, who scored an inspiring 179* runs with tremendous support from Isabelle Gaze with 68 runs, New Zealand achieved an amazing last-minute win via an outstanding recovery partnership. With the ball, Bree Illing and Kayley Knight also made important contributions. This victory will give the hosts a lot of confidence going into the decider.

South Africa Women will be very disappointed to have lost such a close match after posting a huge total of 346 runs from Laura Wolvaardt (69), Anneke Bosch (91), Sune Luus (40) and Chloe Tryon (52). Although they had a great batting performance, they were unable to defend the target they set. Ayabonga Khaka once again impressed with the ball, picking up three wickets. The team will now aim to improve their bowling in key moments and finish the series on a high.
