Pakistan achieved a complete victory because they defeated Bangladesh through 128 runs using the DLS method during their second ODI match at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on March 13 2026. Pakistan reached a tie in the three-match ODI series after they won the second match following their loss in the first match.

Pakistan reached a total of 274 runs through their batting performance which lasted 47.3 overs after their opponents chose to bat first. The visiting team established an excellent beginning when Sahibzada Farhan and Maaz Sadaqat formed an aggressive opening partnership which created difficulties for the Bangladesh bowlers during their first batting session.

Sadaqat scored 75 runs which enabled his team to achieve a large total. The middle-order partnership between Salman Ali Agha who scored 64 runs from 62 balls and Mohammad Rizwan who scored 44 runs from 59 balls created stability for the team after they lost their first two wickets. Bangladesh demonstrated resilience during the final overs because Rishad Hossain secured three wickets and captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz delivered important wickets which hindered Pakistan from reaching 300 runs.

Pakistan bowlers dominate as series moves to thrilling decider

Bangladesh's attempt to chase the target began with their worst possible beginning because Pakistan's fast bowlers conducted an early attack. Shaheen Shah Afridi eliminated two opposing batters which left the home team at 15/3 during the powerplay period. The match experienced a pause because rain and lightning interrupted play while Bangladesh scored 27 runs with three outs which resulted in a delay and a match reduction to 32 overs for both teams. The DLS method established a new target of 243 runs for Bangladesh to chase.

Bangladesh tried to rebuild their innings after play resumed through the efforts of Litton Das and Towhid Hridoy however Pakistan quickly regained control of the game. Maaz Sadaqat achieved his first international wicket after he dismissed Litton Das who scored 41 runs.

Sadaqat achieved his best bowling performance of the match by taking three wickets while Haris Rauf matched his achievement with three wickets. Afridi contributed two wickets to Bangladesh's total of 114 runs which resulted in their defeat.

The victory allowed Pakistan to equal the series which created anticipation for the decisive match that will occur on March 15 in Dhaka.
