In this position, Arthur is responsible for developing, implementing, and supervising the Pakistan men’s team’s strategies.

The 54-year-old South African will also be a coach for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, the home series against the West Indies, and the away tour to Australia.

Mickey Arthur will also be in attendance with the team when Pakistan plays India in the ACC Asia Cup

Arthur, who led the national team from 2016 to 2019, returns to the organization just in time for the upcoming Asia Cup and ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in 2023.

“I am absolutely thrilled to be re-joining the Pakistan cricket team and look forward to working with the group. Since moving on, I have kept a track of the players and their collective performances. This is a talented bunch with the potential to be number one across all formats and my endeavor is to put in place strategies and create an environment that can contribute in further enhancing their performances so that we can extract the best out of them.”

Arthur said.

Arthur was also formally re-introduced by PCB Management Committee Chair Najam Sethi. After leaving his position as Pakistan coach, Arthur became the head of cricket at Derbyshire. He had previously coached Sri Lanka.
