Pakistan names T20I squad for Ireland series, includes uncapped batter
Pakistan has announced a 15-member squad for the T20I series against Ireland, with uncapped batter Eyman Fatima earning her maiden call-up after a standout domestic season. The three-match series begins August 6 in Dublin.

Pakistan has announced its 15-member women's squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Ireland, set to be held from August 6 to 10 at Clontarf Cricket Club in Dublin. Led by regular skipper Fatima Sana, the squad includes an exciting new name, 22-year-old uncapped batter Eyman Fatima, who has been rewarded for her standout domestic form.
Eyman’s selection comes on the back of a scintillating run in the recent National Women’s T20 Tournament, where she amassed 287 runs in just eight matches at a remarkable strike rate of 155.14. The Lahore-based batter also made headlines in the inaugural ICC Women’s U19 T20 World Cup in 2023, most notably with a match-winning unbeaten 62 against Zimbabwe.
Eyman Fatima's Selection Highlights Pakistan's Bold Approach Ahead of Crucial Ireland Series
Eyman's forceful stroke play and courageous intent, at the crease, have established her as a player to watch in Pakistan's burgeoning domestic game. As the national team looks to build an increasingly more dynamic approach in the short format, Eyman's inclusion says a lot about the selectors' willingness to try things outside the box.
The squad was finalized following a 24-player skills camp held earlier this month, with the final 15 set to undergo a brief training camp in Karachi before flying out to Dublin. This series marks a crucial test for Fatima Sana’s side as they look to avenge their 2-1 home series loss to Ireland in 2022, a result that shocked many and underlined the rapid rise of Irish women's cricket.
