The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has revealed its squad for the upcoming 2026 season of the Hong Kong Sixes, where they have backed Abbas Afridi to lead the side, having won the championship in the previous edition of the competition, when they beat Kuwait in the final by 43 runs. Afridi smashed a dashing knock of 52 runs off 11 deliveries and ended up with 1/14.
The six-a-side competition, which will be held at the Tin Kwong Toad Recreation Ground in Hong Kong from October 30 to November 01, will see the 12 participating teams being divided into four pools of three teams each. Pakistan are placed in Pool C.

Abbas has featured in 24 T20Is and has picked up 38 wickets at an average of 15.52 and an economy rate of 8.48, besides scoring 135 runs at a strike rate of 113.44. His last T20I clash for the national side came in July 2025 against Bangladesh in Mirpur. He will continue to lead the side in the Hong Kong Sixes 2026, having smashed 138 runs and picked three wickets in the last season.
Abdul Samad is another player, retaining his place from the last season. His last international game came recently during the Asian Games 2026 against India during the Gold Medal match. The eyes will also be on Khawaja Nafay, who hasn’t been able to showcase his skills yet.
Ahmed Daniya. Mohammad Irfan Khan, Mohammad Shahzad, and Saad Masood are the four other players from the squad in the Hong Kong Sixes 2026.

The Hong Kong Sixes 2026 will begin on October 30 with the opening game taking place between the hosts and Australia while the arch-rivals of Asia, India and Pakistan, locking horns between themselves for the contest on the same date. England and Australia will also meet each other in the last game of the opening day.
The four pools of the season are-
- Pool A: Australia, England, and Hong Kong, China
- Pool B: Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Scotland
- Pool C: India, Pakistan, UAE
- Pool D: South Africa, Afghanistan, Oman
