PSL 2027 auction updates: Date, retentions, trade window and format
The Pakistan board has established a few specific rules and regulations for the movement cycle of the players ahead of the 2027 season. Each of the eight teams has been given permission to directly sign exactly one marquee foreign player. The selected players must not have featured in either PSL 10 or PSL 11 in 2025 and 2026.
The rule has been designed to bring fresh international star power into the competition. The direct signings of the players bypass the primary auction pool. The elite international players are contracted by the sides before the main PSL 12 Player auction on January 23.
