The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to bring back the auction in India for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2027, which breaks the recent trend of staging the event overseas. The decision was among the takeaways from the governing council of the competition, as the meeting was held on September 15.

This time, the BCCI or the IPL has decided to bring the auction back to India, with the event being a mini-auction. The mega auction, next year, could be held overseas, as per Cricbuzz reports.
