For the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, the best thing to happen was their top order, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, and Dhruv Jurel’s contributions with the bat. They continued their dominance with four successive all-round performances and as many wins to be at the top of the points table.

Rajasthan Royals is in the number one position with eight points. They handed Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) their first defeat of the competition as the latter failed to defend their score of 201 runs. The Royals will hope to continue the same show in their next fixture against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.

Here is the reason why RR staff members spotted with mobile phone in IPL 2026

A brief clip has circulated on social media platforms, as it has sparked discussion online after a mobile phone was reportedly seen inside the dugout of the side, despite the strict rules prohibiting its use during the matches. Generally, before any game, the players and all the staff members are asked to give away their phones in a bag.

But the viral video has revealed that an RR support staff member was allegedly seen using a mobile phone during the high-profile encounter. The moment has caught the attention of many among the fans as the league maintains a guideline in restricting the use of personal electronic devices in team dugouts during live matches.

It’s to ensure professionalism and avoid the potential breaches of the protocol. However, no verification has been made of the video. It has triggered a few fan groups for the match-fixing allegations, while no official statement has been released by the franchise or the IPL authorities regarding the incident.

There is no particular reason behind the stance, or even it's not confirmed that it was a phone. But the video has sparked a different controversy in the league.

RR continues IPL campaign with four successive wins

For the Royals, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has been the biggest game-changer as he continues to be the leading run-getter of the IPL 2026. The left-handed opener has smashed 200 runs in four innings at an average of 50 and a strike rate of 266.67 with the help of two half-centuries at the best score of 78.
