Watch: Rare dismissal of Salman Ali Agha in BAN vs PAK 2nd ODI breaks the internet
One of the rarest dismissal during the second ODI of the three-match series between Bangladesh and Pakistan in Dhaka has raised the eyebrows when Salman Ali Agha was dismissed via run-out at the non-striker end.

Away from the attention of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, one of the rarest dismissals of Salman Ali Agha during the second ODI of the three-match series between Bangladesh and Pakistan in Dhaka has gone viral around the internet, as the batter left the field with frustration, and questions were raised over the sportsmanship of the home side.
The incident took place on the fourth ball of the 39th over of the innings when Mehidy Hasan Miraz’s delivery was smashed back to the bowler by Mohammad Rizwan as the ball rolled back to the legs of Salman Agha, who looked to pick the ball up from the ground and give it back to the bowler.
Both the batter and the bowler collided in the process as the ball trickled down to the halt near their feet. Agha was out of his crease that moment as he bent to pick up the ball. But the Bangladesh captain reacted quicker and grabbed it before underarming it onto the stumps as it caught the batter by surprise.

During the appeal, Agha had a few words with Mehidy before having a go at the batter while making his way out of the ground. The third umpire had a look and made a simple decision as the ball wasn’t dead, and the bowler had every right to do what he did.

The priority of the batter, at that moment, was to get back to his crease, rather than picking the ball and helping the bowler. Spirit of cricket will be discussed, but the Bangladesh captain did nothing wrong in terms of the rules of the game as the batter went back to the pavilion for 64 runs in 42 balls with the help of seven boundaries and a pair of sixes.
Their opener, Maaz Sadaqat, played a good knock of 75 runs in just 46 balls, thanks to six boundaries and five sixes as Pakistan made their way to 272/9 in the 47th over of the innings.
Brief Scores: Pakistan 274 (Maaz Sadaqat 75, Salman Agha 64, Rishabh Hossain 3/56) vs Bangladesh
