‘What the procedure '- Ravindra Jadeja's cryptic reply to BCCI's selection committee
Ravindra Jadeja drops a cryptic "What's the procedure" reply on BCCI's selector vacancy post. See what he said and how BCCI is inviting applications for the selection committee after Ajit Agarkar's exit today

The veteran Indian spin all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja, has made his rare appearance on ‘X’ (formerly known as Twitter), just hours after the BCCI made an official post on the exit of their chief selector, Ajit Agarkar. He made a cryptic comment in reply to the post, which invited applications for the chief selector of the committee.
Jadeja isn’t known to be active on social media platforms, especially on Twitter, as he often shares his lifestyle posts on Instagram. In fact, his last reply to a tweet was on February 19, when he engaged with the former Indian spinner, Ravichandran Ashwin.
What did Ravindra Jadeja say? His "what's the procedure" comment explained
Jadeja wrote ‘what the procedure’ as a reply to BCCI’s post. He and Agarkar have never been in a standoff with each other, as the latter played a major role in the Indian team’s shift from the senior side to the junior team. Under his selection, the blue brigade won three ICC trophies, including the T20 World Cups in 2024 and 2026 and the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
Agarkar also took a solid and controversial decision by dropping the T20 WC 2026 winning captain, Suryakumar Yadav, from the T20I side during their Ireland and England series and handed over the leadership to Shreyas Iyer, who lost both series.
His plan was also to put a temporary halt to Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Jadeja’s plan and aim to be playing in the ODI World Cup 2027 in South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia. The trio also retired from the shortest format after winning the T20 WC, beating South Africa in the final.
BCCI invites applications for one selection committee position after Agarkar's exit
The BCCI has invited applications for one position on its Men’s Selection Committee. The member should have played a minimum of seven Test matches or 30 first-class matches or the combination of 10 ODIs and 20 FC games. He must have retired from the game at least five years previously.
“The member of the Men’s Selection Committee will be responsible for selecting the Senior National Men’s Team for representation in Tests, One Day Internationals, Twenty20 Internationals and any other format.” The board revealed.
