The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) continued their impressive run in the Indian Premier League (IPL) winning their second successive trophy, beating the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the final.

During the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) completed the 156-run chase against the Gujarat Titans (GT) during the RCB vs GT final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. The Rajat Patidar-led side joined the likes of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and the Mumbai Indians (MI) to win two successive trophies in the event's history.
Despite being in pain, Venketesh Iyer, made a solid start with the bat as he drilled a strong knock of 32 runs off 16 balls at a strike rate of 200, thanks to four boundaries and two sixes. Once they made 88/2 in eight overs, the game was done inside the powerplay.

There was a time when it felt that GT could make a slight comeback in the encounter as they picked up three quick wickets, thanks to Rashid Khan's double-wicket in his very first over. But Virat Kohli's half-century saw them getting over the line. It was also his fastest-ever fifty in the history of the event, which had been a significant landmark.
The celebrations couldn't get better than this as Kohli smashed a straight six over the rope to give a kiss to the crowd. The entire team ran into the field, which was a great sight to watch. Virat's team-mates all ran and embraced the legndar. There was absoulate ecstasy in the camp. It became the fifth title for the Krunal Pandya in the history of the league.
The fans were in a wild mood and roared hard as it was a superb enviroment in Ahmedabad with the fans enjoying their side's two succesisve titles.

Gujarat Titans' batters were not up to the mark during the first innings. They kept losing wickets despite their batters getting starts. The top four batters crossed the 10-run mark, but couldn't get over the 20-run mark. Jos Buttler took his time for his 19 runs off 23 balls before he was foxed to Krunal Pandya.

Washington Sundar remained unbeaten on 50 runs off 37 balls at a stike rate of 135.14 as they ended up with 155 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru started in a fiery mood inside the powerplay. Venkatesh Iyer smashe a dashing knock of 32 runs off 16 balls with the help of four boundaries and two sixes. Kohli remained unbeaten on 75 runs off 42 balls with the help of nine boundaries and three sixes. His last-ball six completed their five-wicket chase with two overs to spare.

Bengaluru has been excellent through out the season. They were clinical with the bat in all the phases of the game. Kohli was their leading run-getter of the campaign with 675 runs in 16 innings at an average of 56.25 and a blistering strike rate of more than 165 with the help of five half-centuries and one century at the best score of 105 runs against KKR.

In the bowling deparment, RCB's Bhuvneshwar Kumar finished as the second-leading wicket-taker of the season with 28 scalps in 16 innings at an average of under 18 and a strike rate of 13.50 with an impressive ecnomy rate of under eight.
As many of their players mentioned after the end of the IPL 2026, they will try to make the very first record of making a hat-trick of trophies in 2027.
