Reports: Jonny Bairstow likely to play for Mumbai Indian in IPL 2026

Mumbai Indians finished 4th in the IPL 2025 as the team failed to reach the finals of the tournament despite late flourish in the edition. As there was a gap between the conclusion of the league due to unprecedented events concerning India and Pakistan war, the franchise had rolled out replacements for three of its players as they were bracing for an unpause.

Before the break, the MI had announced three replacements for Ryan Rickelton, Corbin Bosch and Will Jacks in the form of Jonny Bairstow, Richard Gleeson and Charith Asalanka. It is now reported that Bairstow will be seen playing for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2026.
