The veteran Indian batter, Rohit Sharma, and the premier pacer of the side across formats, Jasprit Bumrah, have shared a special bond between them, having played together in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and the national side for more than a decade, as the former has always reflected on the importance of Bumrah for the team.
Bumrah is currently on a break and didn’t participate in the five-match T20I series against the West Indies at home, having won the Gold Medal for the blue brigade after beating Pakistan in the final of the competition. Meanwhile, Rohit has also been on a break after the ODI series against the Shai Hope-led side.

It was one of the episodes of Rohit’s new show ‘Family Full House with Rohit Sharma’ in which he was asked about the probable occupation of a few players had they not been cricketers. And the first name thrown to him was Bumrah.

“Bumrah, I think, could have been a doctor. All of you have seen that he always comes on to bowl the toughest over of the innings. So, in that period, bowling in that fashion and saving the team are very tough, and very few are able to do that in the game. So, that’s why those are called death overs, and only Doctors save us from death.” Rohit expressed in the show.
