The match 35 between Gujarat Titans and Royal Challengers Bengaluru in IPL 2026 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. The captain of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Rajat Patidar, won the toss and opted to field first.  Gujarat Titans had a good innings with the bat. They eventually reached 179/3 by the 18th over with full control.

GT got a perfect start from Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan in the powerplay. The openers added 57 without losing a wicket and the scoreboard kept ticking over quickly. They continuning strong batting and reached 104 runs by 10 overs. The RCB bowlers found it difficult to contain the partnership in the early stages. 

Gill was eventually out for 32 runs as the good start came to an end at 128 runs. After that, Jos Butler joined the strike and added some quick runs maintaining the pace. Sudharsan continued to dominate and guided the innings smartly. Gujarat Titans reached 155/1 in the middle overs and looked set for a big total.

Sai Sudharsan’s stunning century powers GT

Sai Sudharsan played a brilliant innings and reached his century in 57 balls with great control. In the 15th over against Suyash Sharma, he stayed calm and focused under pressure. He faced a short and wide ball and cut it towards deep point for a single. This single helped him complete his well-deserved century in style.

He built his innings very well by mixing smart shots with powerful hitting. Sudharsan was finding gaps with ease and also punished loose deliveries in the entire innings. His innings included 11 fours and 5 sixes,  showing both class and aggressive intent. That was the best innings of IPL 2026 till now.

Sudharsan also reached a significant milestone in his IPL career during this knock. He became the fastest player to reach 2000 IPL runs in just 47 innings. This broke Chris Gayle’s record and added more value to his innings. His century enabled Gujarat Titans to put up a decent total and keep it going in the match.

As of writing, at the innings break, Gujarat Titans have scored 205/3 in 20 overs, setting a target of 206 runs for Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
