After the match, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi explained that he wanted to stay calm and bat longer during the chase instead of attacking from the beginning. He said, “That was the mindset. The young batter also revealed that he carefully watched the pitch conditions while sitting outside during the first innings. He said, “I was just thinking because I was sitting outside during the bowling innings, and the wicket looked good. I was thinking that today I shouldn't rush too much at the start, I should take some time, and if I bat for a longer period, it's going to help the batter at the other end as well.” His smart thinking and fearless batting once again showed why he is being called one of the brightest young stars in IPL 2026.
