Sanju Samson and Heinrich Klaasen got exchanged in a heated argument after the latter's dismissal during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 clash between CSK and SRH in Chennai.

Just after Heinrich Klaasen was dismissed through the stumping during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 clash against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium at Chepauk, the batter got engaged in a heated argument with Sanju Samson, the wicket-keeper batter.
The third umpire asked for the review, which confirmed that even though Klaasen failed to get touch of the ball, his leg was in the air when Samson collected it and broke the stumps to send the batter back in the pavilion.

It was an excellent delivery from Noor Ahmad, who changed his angle and went over the wicket to bowl the googly. Heinrich Klaasen stayed leg-sided and looked to go inside out as the ball spun away and beat the outside edge, who dragged his back leg out and tried to plant it back in.

Sanju Samson broke the stumps and threw the ball up. He jumped as soon as he lit up the stumps. It was a lightning-fast stumping from the Kerala-born, who got connected through the heated words with Klaasen. The latter wasn’t happy at all with the words.

The Protea batter was dismissed for 47 runs in 26 balls, thanks to six boundaries and a couple of sixes. It was an extraordinary knock in the contribution to their victory.
Earlier in the game, the Super Kings posted a competitive total of 180 runs for the loss of seven wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Dewald Brevis played a fine knock of 44 runs in 27 balls at a strike rate of 162.96 with the help of two fours and four sixes.

Hyderabad, in reply, lost their openers early. However, the third wicket stand between Klaasen and Ishan Kishan scripted their victory. The Indian wicket-keeper batter nailed 70 runs in 47 balls at a strike rate of 148.94, thanks to seven boundaries and three sixes as they completed the victory by five wickets and qualified for the IPL 2026 Playoffs.
