'Scales are tilted towards...'— former India cricketer predicts which team slightly ahead for DC vs RCB IPL 2025 game

Former Indian cricketer and cricket pundit at present, Aakash Chopra said, "This could be the game of the tournament."

Delhi Capitals will get the home ground advantage as the match is set to be held at Arun Jaitley Stadium. But when Virat Kohli is on the pitch, the atmosphere of the gallery can change drastically. Chopra has shown little concern over Delhi Capitals tactical decisions. The Axar Patel-led side has fielded their team with fewer overseas players; the DC XI mostly relies on Indian talent.

Faf du Plessis is with the squad, and Jake Fraser-McGurk is also there, but DC has planned differently; they put Karun Nair as an opener with Abishek Porel. Nair's IPL 2025 debut innings was an absolute banger; his presence in the lineup provides DC an extra edge. Jake Fraser-McGurk's past IPL record is undoubtedly good, but this time he was too far from his best.

"I feel DC's batting is working thus far but will get stuck someday for sure. They have been doing a decent job, but I feel something might get stuck. It may be this game, or it might just be my thinking, and it might never happen. The home team has gone towards all made in India, although they finally decided to play Dushmantha Chameera. However, they are still playing with only three overseas—(Tristan) Stubbs, (Mitchell) Starc, and Dushmantha Chameera. I still don't know what the news is about Faf du Plessis. It doesn't seem like they wish to play Jake Fraser-McGurk currently. So what this team will do, I have no idea. Abishek Porel and Karun Nair might only be seen opening," Chopra said on his YouTube channel.

In terms of the latest performances, DC and RCB are both on the same level; in the last 5 matches, both of the teams won 3 and lost 2. In game 24, IPL 2025, at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Patel's Delhi Capitals proved better than Rajat Patidar's RCB by 6 wickets.

Chopra slightly optimistic about RCB 

But it seems like Chopra was not bothered by the stats and numbers; he solely believed in how the teams were performing in the field. From his point of view, the commentator has said that RCB may have played better than DC in recent times. 

"In whose favor are the scales tilted? Since they are on the road, I will say the scales are tilted towards RCB. However, this could be the game of the tournament. This game will be enjoyable," Chopra said.
