In a thrilling encounter at the Kabul International Cricket Stadium, Boost Defenders held their nerve to edge past Band-e-Amir Dragons by 9 runs in Match 10 of the 2025 Shpageeza Cricket League. opting to bat first, the Defenders rode on Wasim Akram's fantastic innings to post a challenging total. Despite a spirited chase led by Gulbadin Naib, the Dragons were only nine runs short in a high-scoring encounter.

Boost Defenders posted a strong total of 212/5 from 20 overs, much of it courtesy of a dominant innings of 86 off 57 balls by opener Wasim Akram. Band-e-Amir Dragons Innings
Pursuing 213 for the win, Band-e-Amir Dragons put up a valiant attempt but finished at 203/8 in 20 overs. Gulbadin Naib played a sensational knock, smashing 57 off only 26 deliveries to keep the Dragons in the hunt. Hashmatullah Shahidi, the captain, led the middle overs with a steady 49 off 37 balls, while 23 runs came from Sediqullah Atal off 14 deliveries.
However, Boost Defenders' bowlers kept their cool at critical moments. Noor Ahmad was the hero of the match with 5/28 from four overs, dismantling the Dragons in the middle order. Tariq Stanikzai (1/4 in 1 over) and Yama Arab (1/45) provided timely breakthroughs as the Defenders sealed a close win.
