SCL 2025, Match 7: Band-e-Amir Dragons vs Speen Ghar Tigers full match highlights

Band-e-Amir Dragons defeated Speen Ghar Tigers by 12 runs in Match 7 of SCL 2025 to register their second win of the season at the Kabul International Cricket Stadium.

Band-e-Amir Dragons won their match with a close 12-run victory against Speen Ghar Tigers in Match 7 of the 2025 Shpageeza Cricket League (SCL) at the Kabul International Cricket Stadium. After being put into bat, the Dragons managed to score a respectable total of 192/5 in 20 overs. The Tigers, in reply, fought very hard but could only manage 180/9 in their chase.

Choosing to bat first, Band-e-Amir Dragons compiled a solid total of 192/5 in their 20 overs. Sediqullah Atal was the man of the innings, scoring a classy 75 off just 47 balls, confidently steering the top order. He was well-supported by Mohammad Shahzad, who chipped in with a quickfire 39 from 32 deliveries. Skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi added useful runs with a 22-ball 30, ensuring the innings maintained momentum. Speen Ghar’s Shams UR Rahman Karokhil picked up 3/42 to peg back the Dragons late in the innings, while Faridoon Dawoodzai chipped in with a wicket.

In reply, the Speen Ghar Tigers fought back well but finished at 180/9 in 20 overs. Wicketkeeper Ikram Alikhil led from the front with a fluent 51 from 33 balls, giving them hope in the innings. Darwish Rasooli’s aggressive 46 off 20 and Rahmat Shah’s composed 44 from 36 kept the Tigers in contention throughout. However, the Dragons’ bowlers held their nerve under pressure. Izharulhaq Naveed led the bowling effort with figures of 3/28, while Gulbadin Naib and Mohammad Saleem Safi picked up crucial wickets to restrict the Tigers.
