Star Bangladesh all-rounder and former Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan is in deep trouble. While he has been accused in a murder case, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has received a legal notice to exclude Shakib from the team.

According to media reports, Shakib Al Hasan has faced a murder charge. According to the Dhaka Tribune report, Rafiqul Islam has accused Shakib and some other people of being involved in his son Md. Rubel's death.

BCB received a legal notice to bring back Shakib Al Hasan to Bangladesh

On August 7, garment worker Md. Ruble was shot in the chest and abdomen during a rally on Ring Road in Adabor, Dhaka. Although he was taken to the hospital immediately, he died the same day.

On August 22, a case was registered against Shakib for killing Md. Ruble.

According to a recent Crictracker report, the Supreme Court lawyer Barrister Sajib Mahmood Alam, on behalf of another SC lawyer, Md Rafinur Rahman, has served a legal notice to the BCB to ask Shakib to return to Bangladesh for the investigation.

Meanwhile, the International Cricket Council's (ICC) rules also claim that a player undergoing a criminal case can’t participate. However, Shakib is still participating in international matches.

Shakib is currently busy in the two-match Test series against the hosts Pakistan. There are some reports about the BCB asking Shakib to return to the country. However, The Daily Star report suggests that no timeline has been set for his return to the country.

After the completion of the Test series in Pakistan, Bangladesh will travel to India for a two-match Test series and a three-match T20I series. However, the present scenario makes the international cricket future difficult for Shakib.

Shakib Al Hasan is struggling in Rawalpindi Test

While Pakistan declared the first innings after scoring 448/6, Bangladesh replied with 565 runs. Mushfiqur Rahim scored 191 runs, while opener Shadman Islam (93), Mominul Haque (50), Liton Das (56), and Mehidy Hasan Miraz (77) also played important roles in the 117-run lead for Bangladesh.

Pakistan ended the fourth day with a score of 23/1, as the hosts are trailing by 94 runs.
